چکیده

We consider a re-sampling scheme for estimation of the population parameters in mixed-effects nonlinear regression models type used, example, clinical pharmacokinetics. provide two-stage procedure which resamples (or recycles), via random weightings, various parameter's estimates to construct consistent their respective sampling distributions. In particular, we establish under rather general distribution-free assumptions, asymptotic normality and consistency standard resampled version demonstrate applicability our proposed resampling methodology small simulation study. A detailed example based on real pharmacokinetic data is also provided.

Estimation in nonlinear mixed-effects models using heavy-tailed distributions

Nonlinear mixed–effects models are very useful to analyze repeated measures data and are used in a variety of applications. Normal distributions for random effects and residual errors are usually assumed, but such assumptions make inferences vulnerable to the presence of outliers. In this work, we introduce an extension of a normal nonlinear mixed–effects model considering a subclass of ellipti...

LASSO-type estimators for semiparametric nonlinear mixed-effects models estimation

Parametric nonlinear mixed effects models (NLMEs) are now widely used in biometrical studies, especially in pharmacokinetics research and HIV dynamics models, due to, among other aspects, the computational advances achieved during the last years. However, this kind of models may not be flexible enough for complex longitudinal data analysis. Semiparametric NLMEs (SNMMs) have been proposed by Ke ...

Dirichlet Processes in Nonlinear Mixed Effects Models

Two efficient approaches are considered to deal with the difficulty in computing the intractable integrals when implementing Gibbs sampling in the nonlinear mixed effects model (NLMM) based on Dirichlet processes (DP). The first approach computes the Laplace's approximation to the integral for its high accuracy, low cost, and ease of implementation. The second approach uses the no-gaps algorith...

Estimation of Cardinal Temperatures for Tomato (Solanum lycopersicom) Seed Germination Using Nonlinear Regression Models

Extended Abstract Introduction: Seed germination is one of the most important factors which determine the success of failure of crop establishment. In the absence of other environmental limiting factors such as moisture, temperature would determine the rate and overall seed germination. This research was conducted to investigate the effect of temperature regimes on seed germination, quantify t...

Parameter Estimation in Spatial Generalized Linear Mixed Models with Skew Gaussian Random Effects using Laplace Approximation

Spatial generalized linear mixed models are used commonly for modelling non-Gaussian discrete spatial responses. We present an algorithm for parameter estimation of the models using Laplace approximation of likelihood function. In these models, the spatial correlation structure of data is carried out by random effects or latent variables. In most spatial analysis, it is assumed that rando...
